# O que é uma mensagem template ?

Templates são formatos para mensagens reutilizáveis comuns que poderão ser enviados por uma empresa. É necessário que  as empresas utilizem modelos de mensagem para enviar notificações aos clientes.

Quando você precisa utilizar templates e quando pode utilizar mensagens comuns?

**Você precisa utilizar templates:**

\- Para fazer disparos  em massa via [**Broadcast**](https://app.cosmobots.io/builder/broadcasts/) ou [**api de Broadcast**](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CquEUfTeOV9U9X5hg9-bw4xp4yZY9sNfBrzI9kfd_pA/edit) para vários clientes que nunca tiveram contato com o bot.

\- Para responder o cliente no live chat após 24 horas, sem que ele tenha entrado em contato.

**Você não precisa utilizar templates:**

\- Quando o cliente entrou em contato com o bot através do canal Whatsapp em menos de 24 horas.
